Thanks Tom. Even though I moved from D1 to D2 I would like to help a fellow D1 racer. With the 4 wide pay attention to track temp and cross winds. At the 4 wide we go from lanes 1&2 to lanes 3&4 from class to class. Your class maybe in lanes 1&2 all weekend but the class in front of you just ran in lanes 3&4. So no one was in lanes 1&2 for maybe 1 hour. Just like Englishtown the stands block the cross winds until 1000'. Then hold on because we have a pollen problem in the spring and it could be on the track. Last year we had a few crashes because wind and pollen. Ronnie

Thanks for the info Ronnie. I am always concerned with cross winds as I have a 55 Chevy with aerodynamics of a porta-pot. Do the winds tend to be strong there in April? Never really thought much about the pollen issue. Will be something to put in the old memory bank. Guess it is best to not be the first in the lanes then? Thanks again for the info.

The track is in a large open area. There is a dirt track next door and Charlotte Speedway across the street. Wind can pick up anytime and there is nothing to block it. Just be aware of it and you would be OK. If You have a RV there are free dump stations on the property. There are free showers across from the John Force stands that are really nice. There is plenty of shopping in the area. It is worth the trip to see what 60 million built. One more thing LOCK YOUR PERSONALS THINGS UP! There was someone caught at Gainesville. But there maybe more. If you get to the track and any questions, come and get me I live 4 minutes from the track so I know the area. I race S/C #1660 There is a Brown and Miller Racing Solutions banner hanging in the back door of the trailer.Ronnie
