Bruce; "Tri-Power" is a copyrighted term; Pontiac (ever hear of them?) is the only brand who can use that moniker... Are your Pontiacs triple carbureted???

The A-Body Darts with 440s were never given multiple carburetion, only an embarrassingly smallish 4bbl that took YEARS for anybody to figure out how to make run...
Steve Wann had one on his B-body about 10 or 15 years ago that flew, but I don't remember anyone else doing well in Stock with one, until now.

Congrats to Mr. Smith for an amazing performance!!!

Who is Bowtie Bomber? I enjoy his humor by the way .

Is this Darin the son of the owner of a transmission company? Do they build the slow transmission that everyone is running? what kind of car doesn he run anyway?

. . . an embarrassingly smallish 4bbl . . .
Specs for the carb on the '68-9 440 is 1.686" primary, 1.686" secondary, 1.437" primary venturi and an air valve secondary. That's about the same size as the high performance Holleys on Chevrolets that flow 780-800 cfm. If that is small enough to be embarassed about, those poor guys that can't buy a cubic foot of air probably don't even need to show their face. I'd like to have your measuring stick to convince NHRA to change some power ratings.

Dwight
