The new Camaro has been in the guides for quite a while. The stick shift is classified wrong. It is a natural B car. I actually purchased a zero option V8 car just to see! I'd bet that the automatic is the same.

![]() ZL1 Top speed = 184 mph
wo-wee ! ! ! Chevrolet Camaro Aces Crash Test Published November 15, 2011 | FoxNews.com
The 2012 Chevrolet Camaro is the first car to get a perfect score on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 5-Star Safety Rating test since a more rigorous testing procedure was instituted last year. The two-door coupe received five stars in all categories, including frontal, side and rollover collisions. So far only a couple of dozen cars have been put through the new tests, making it likely that more will ace it in the coming months, but that doesn’t make the Camaro’s results any less impressive. For comparison, the similar in size 2012 Ford Mustang only managed to get a four-star overall rating. The results come out just as Chevrolet announces the official performance specifications of its new super-Camaro, the ZL1. According to the automaker, the 580 hp muscle car can accelerate from 0-60 mph and has a top speed of 184 mph. Prices will start at $54,995 when it goes on sale early next year. I'll see your 580hp, 184mph "might show up someday" camaro and raise you,
650hp, 600tq, 200+ mph 2013 Shelby mustang, available at your local Ford dealer! BWAHAHAHAHAHA! http://www.autoblog.com/2011/11/15/2...straight-from/ "Six hundred and fifty horsepower. Six hundred pound-feet of torque. Over 200 miles per hour. With specs like these, you don't need long-form introductions. This is the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500, and all we can say is, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 has officially been put on notice." Last edited by goinbroke2; 11-16-2011 at 12:49 PM. Just a couple of pictures of the prototype at SEMA that I finally took off of my phone. If you don't like Mopar, and you aren't crazy about Ford, then you have to love this potential Mustang Killer.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I took a shot of the underside too, but it did not come out well. So I will just tell you that the rear suspension looks very familar as in just like my Drag Pak. But it does come with an anti roll bar, that we had to add to our car. David The New Hemi Guy Last edited by NewHemi; 11-17-2011 at 11:51 PM. |
