That '55 Chevy wagon would be the Bernstraugh (sp?) "Willys Junkyard Dog" out of Norfolk, NE. I believe Willy Jr (Bill) is driving, but the engine and drivetrain is all Bichlmeier built.

The 5578 permanent number was still available from NHRA.

Here is how the car looked 30+ years ago...

Below is a link to Results and Qualifying for Saturdays Stock/Super Stock Combo race.

Two records were set, Jami Jones G/SA and Gene Bichlmeier SS/J.
