Glad I got to run at Detroit Dragway in 60-63
I'd say York , as we never went there. Last edited by TOM KASCH; 01-29-2011 at 05:11 PM. |

York US30. - "Stand by everyone, we have to land a plane." Second choice would be Connecticut Dragway.

Ever since seeing Jungle Jim run at Fremont I wished I could have run there. Lions a close second, with so many legends having run there, and they sure put down some great laps there.

Great answers, keep 'em coming.
Can you imagine how fast todays SS cars would run at Lions and Fremont with that cool ocean air so close. SuperStocks@LionsDragStrip |

Seems the west coast guys like the tracks out west and the east coast guys like the ones back there. I never raced anywhere but out here and Puyallup was a lot of fun,, but I agree with Floyd,,, The first time I saw Ontario Motor Speedway, I was blown away,,,I was also 21 years old, so go figure.
As far as eastern tracks go, I'd loved to have gone to York and been at the Super Stock Nationals. I've heard (and read) it was a crazy time at the first one in '65. Danny Durham |
