The AHFS is a program based on actual run data compiled from all available runs at NHRA national events only. The data-based format provides the ability to calculate average performances for any class and/or engine combination in Stock and Super Stock. The trigger point for the system is 1.00-second or more under the respective index, and must be produced on two different occasions.

Interesting.....is the 2011 AHFS finalized yet.

It's not. The factories can change the lift by .001 every year and get their bogus hp rating back, they don't even have to build the cars. One "press car" and a press release is all that's required.

Mark, I wish, but that is the stick combo only. Mine is at 287. Just think 17 hp less for me. LOL Even I do not think that would be right.. Same motor , just a 4 speed

That link shows the 1984 T-Bird/Cougar Turbo 2.3 rated @ a NEW 171 HP... ???

That's what is was factored to in April 2009 and is still in effect.....odd

Paul runs both the aluminum headed and steel combos. Pretty sure the steel head was ran most of this year, though. The record was set in Columbus with the steel heads
