In out case Jeff, well.....they are the only plugs that they make for the heads that come in 1,2, 3, 4 and 6 colder than stock And in both retracted and projected tip.

The retracted I believe Art may have seen a difference in, we dont have an established enough baseline.

But our only other REAL choices are NGK Iridium (expensive and delicate) or 1 other I can remeber in the heat range we need to keep from predeting to hell and back.

"predeting to hell and back"

I know about pre-ignition
I know about detonation
I know about running on/dieseling or "Hangfire" as one of my customers used to call it in my garage days....

But..... predeting to hell and back is new to me......

S/G and S/C cars never have that problem anyway, whatever it is.....

Rich/and others-- predeting is a quite common occurence in the "rice burners" and others high performance engines-- It can cause major problems if not corrected in time- you absolutely must pevent predeting or you can have catastrophic engine damage---Comp 387

Im assuming you know what I meant, take a stock DP engine and try to run it with the plugs that are in it (oe stock) at 12.5 : 1 and youll soon find out, NGK only makes a 1 step colder than 6.1 stock.

Brisk because of demand on the SRT4's running high boost came out with a whole line, and because of the Hemi cast in plug tubes you have little choice if you want a plug that actually fits.

Pre-Ignition, Pre-Detonation, Detonation, Knock, Ping.....whatever....all semantics....

Is it related to "Predetinating"...the Redneck word equivalency for "Predetonation"?
...or related to the word predator or predate?

I thought it was something about "predator" as in "a hunter". "He was hunting to hell and back"

Default Re: Predeting spark plugs

I'm trying to learn a new word today, too.
I found this usage in the cross dresser's forum, but I don't think it's the same meaning:

" I'm totally for fitting in.

Even standing out can be done in a couple of ways. There's a tasteful way, and there's a questionably tasteful way.
Most school girls and, to my belief, a good part of the crossdressers that want to stand out, pick the distasteful and shrill way. Then again, I'm not predeting that I've seen them all. Just my 2 cents...
