Bob , all I did was swap gas. I remember when I started using c-11 I richened up my carb. I really think if I had taken the time to lean my carb up just a little there would probably of been little or no difference. This is a motor that is about 10.5 to 1.

Unless you're on the cutting edge and trying to set a record or something of that nature, why spend double the money on C-11 when a $5.00 shoe polish takes up the slack?
I know that some of you guys are going to say that you need all the power you can get when it comes to class racing. My arguement is that NHRA has settled most classes by ignoring the correct factoring of car and engine combinations and gas wouldn't help you. Casey Miles 248H |

I thought c11 was unleaded, isnt it? And is the official name of the Sunoco purple "standard"?

C-10 is unleaded and the purple Sunoco is called Standard

The evaporation rate is what causes the carb to be riched or leaned. You can look up the spec's of the fuels on the net.
I spoke to the Sunoco people at the PRI show in Orlando, and they told me that the gas can be stored for up to 2 years and it will still pass as long as it's in the correct container. Casey Miles 248H |
