Default Re: Question for Dodge Dart Stocker Racers

Thanks for all the input guys.

I have to do work to the quarters on the car, and I'm OK with massaging the lips as I'm sure I'll need to. Planning on stretching the leading edge of the opening which will help with tire diameter, width is the major issue .

John: are the hangars you are referring to the ones which move the spring inboard .80 inch? I have those now I just have to figure out how to "sneak" the rear shackles in .80 too.

Make a housing the length you need, or you can get it made from Moser. Get exactly what you need, massage the wheel opening, and it will work. I personally like the 10 in rims better. Ours are 5" bs.

Keep in mind that Todd is asking about clearance on a 1969 Dart, not
a Duster/Volare/Aspen which all have similar wheel opens like a 67-69
Cuda would.

The Dart has the least amount of tire clearance and does require wheel
lip massaging and like Jeff said about narrowing the housing for clearance.

Send me a PM with your email again. I sent one a while back and didn't hear from you.Just want to be sure I had it right.
