Unbelieveable but true -- the Sun is out -- S/C and S/S got their runs in and S/G is on the track as I type....looks as if we're going to get a second run in tonight.....depends on how the alcohol cars do .

This afternoon Tim Bishop showed up with his F-Bomb B/S Firehawk -- nice piece -- he hasn't been seen much lately . Also pictured during S/S is Johnny D ( in red shirt ) up on a perch taking shots in the bleach box .....
Even though it was a four hour delay Joe Sways guys and the NHRA crew scraped from the burnout to the 660' mark --no easy feat for sure ..and boy oh boy did the track have 'teeth' when they were done.....

Almost forgot -- two records set the first leg -- SS/CA -- Oakes -- 9.02 P/S Cokinos 12.36 .
Pudgie -- I'll put your food order in -- wait at your garage door --might be awhile .And I hope you enjoy the last picture in the group . Ya' shoulda' came .........Also pictured is 'Uncle Buck' -- this time awake and preparing one of his masterpieces and finally we see Bucky Hess multi-tasking........wonder who he is talking with ?

I assume he's using the GM perf alum heads, so do you have to modify the combustion chambers from O/C to C/C to run at 445hp?

Red face Re: Live from Atco , NJ -- NHRA Lucas Oil Series

RAIN -- And plenty of it ! ! ! This morning we were only minutes from starting eliminations ( because of bad weather headed our way Mr. Lang & Co . decided to start early ) when the sky's opened up bigtime . I would have to say that today doesn't look very promising and tomorrow showers are expected .Rumors are already flying around -- Monday ? Tuesday ? Who knows -- but I'll fill you in as I get the news .

Things were looking up this afternoon -- rain stopped and the Sun came out and really helped to dry the place out .And even the track owner was optimistic --- Joe Sway himself was out on the track using the vacumn / sweeper -- this guy really is hands on for sure ( see picture below ) .Things were fine until around 9 pm when the rain hit again -- will it ever stop ? Tonight we were treated to a beautiful sunset......

Pairings for 1st rd -- Bialas vs Medeiros heads up -- Allison v Wendy -- Gray v Pires jr -- Martins v Adkins in a battle of sticks --Hawk v Bollman -- there will be a great many singles as a bunch of racers left tonight .........
