Re: Ford Class Racers
I think that is something they mentioned on C-SPAN yesterday during the congressional testimony.
That is why their requests went from $ 25-$34 billion because they realized they had forgtooen to pay the sportsman drag racers.

Re: Ford Class Racers
It's great to hear that Ford is rededicating their support to sportsman class racers. This news, and the introduction of the new Cobra Jet Mustang harkens back to an era everyone seems to refer to as the "good ole' days."
Brian Wolfe, the new Ford Racing head, is a racer's racer from way back and is considered a pioneer to us 5.0 Mustang homers. I hope he'll be able to follow-through with all of this in light of the problems the company is facing now.

Re: Ford Class Racers
I wrote to the Ford Contingency Sponsor Contact a while back to find out if my Mercury was Ford enough for the contingency program & he just told me that NHRA handles that for them & he sent me out a decal pack. Yes, I'm registered on fordracingparts.com but even there it just ask "Ford car & engine" & the series you race in. Anybody with similar instance's ie: mercury freaks.

Re: Ford Class Racers
I was almost a ford racer, but Bill backed out of the deal. I always thought I would look good in a Cleveland. And you know Lil Duane it would have been in the correct car, imagine that!!!

Re: Ford Class Racers
Well Larry, Billy just saved you a lot of money and embarrassment. You COULD have gotten the car, but you could have never run what he ran with it. Hell there cars out there that to this day, can’t run what he ran in 1994. I believe your son was on here talking about turning the truck into a gt car at one point. Probably figured he better not since it would be the same class as me.And i would follow him everwhere. If you’re going to use my name learn how to spell or at least learn to use spell check.
Lil Duane
