Default Re: Fram HPG1 any good?

A few years back I bought fuel at E-town out of the pump and it had a very fine metalic like dust in it. It would pass right through the 40 micron stone filter and raise havoc with my Comp 140 pump. It would get between the rotors and lock it up and blow the fuse. After chasing the problem for a while I had an old Fram filter, put it in between the tank and the pump and that took care of it. At 10 microns they pick up everything, only drawback is it's kind of bulky to fit under the car. If you are putting a new fuel system in, keep it clean and watch where you get you fuel.
