Re: Quickest SS run in history at INDY!
Sounds Bad To The Bone. Who needs Pro Stock with cars like that. Idles like a every day car until you hit the go pedal. Car leaves hard!

Truth is much stranger than fiction. Goodbye current Pro Stock. They will have a full field and then some of these new cars. Pro Stock the way it was meant to be and people will be able to identify with these cars. I'm sure it would have much more interest with the new car manufacturers. Rivalry is a good thing between the big three or maybe the big six.

agreed. This excellent performance by Candies shows what should replace pro stock. Pro stock has become boring, generic, not relevant to stock cars, and too expensive. These SS cars are exactly what Pro Stock was intended to be.

Re: Quickest SS run in history at INDY!
You must be reading my mind (what little is left of it) Loved 1970 Pro stock. Loved Top Stock until the manufacturers tried to make the rules and screwed it up. Is this what Pro Stock will become in a cpl of years? If Im not to old I could probably get involved again. Working on these things just isn't as much fun as it used to be right now..

Congrats on the runs guys, looks likes there is a lot left as well. It sounds like it went into third really late in the run. I predict 7.60's as soon as you guys get into some cooler weather.

Re: Quickest SS run in history at INDY!
I am privileged to have witnessed P.B. Candies making the 3 fastest runs in Super Stock history; 7.91, 7.89, and 7.85. This is what makes Indy special!
