I'm planning to go to my first NHRA pts. race at indy, with this crappy weather report,no testing, and basic fear of the unknown am I wasting my time. Has the weather alway's been ****ty this time of year in indy? Can I get a time run on friday?

Tim, until 4-5 years ago this event was always at the end of April, early May, and since then, yes it has been crappy. Remember last year they cancelled the event after rigs had already arrived on Thursday. The track runs open TT on Thursday for $100 until 8 pm.
You are slated to get 2 hits on Fri, 1 Sat morning then run 1st rd Sat afternoon. The schedule is usually behind because they like to wait for the weather to warm up a bit in the mornings, some oil downs, etc. It is often windy there too. Good luck -steve |

CR, you usually time trial quite well, you should accept the challenge from Carl.

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys or the set up for Chebby ??
I'm a gambling man , but 1st hit ,,, $100 ,,, sounds like a set up ,,, I think Chebby has been out this year , and has some Data + runs on motor ? I'll be firing the rebuilt engine for the 1st time tonight , and of course I've made some changes attempting to find 1 or 2 more MPH form the Small Block plus I want to do something different with the stop etc,,,,, Hey Chebby , If we get to run on Thursday at the open test and tune I'll bet you Dinner , Mrs. Chebby included for the 1st hit on Friday or Loser Contributes $50 to RFC on Sunday morning !!! DEAL OR NO DEAL 86IROC ,,,, you will be fine , I know some of the tracks you have raced down and always do good ,,,, The weather will be either Great or Lousy ,, Are you bringing my buddy with you ??
