Terry, to be honest with you, i am glad i got the chance to be side of one of these cars. I am also glad that i know i wont be going to the races to run against these cars, and they say the Blown Mustangs are even faster. Now i know most of us on here are class racers, but i am sorry, sometimes you just have to draw the line, and not that i was going to anyway, but there is no way i would go to the class races and run against these cars. More power to the guys that have these cars, enjoy it while you can. When you have to start running each other, it might be a little different , i know it Changed our outlook when they put the FI cars together!

Im on hold with my plans also. It would be like pouring $$$$ down the toilet to try to run with them. Trying to keep up is hard enough without these things. If things change Im ready to buy something (Chebbie of course) in the upper class'. Just not the way it is right now. Oh well.

Woodro, I'm not going to worry about getting a Doctor's release early just to race Sonny Stancil's new SS/JA DP car heads up until something is done. I'll go when he turns me loose, but won't worry about talking him into an early release.

I hope the new system works, but a lot of people are unhappy with it (what's new). I'm going to see how it works before condeming it. It looks to me like an improvement over the old one. I'm probably wrong, I usually am. lol

Woody - Things are a little different now that the shoe is on the other foot and we're getting a taste of our own medicine . We now have that hopeless feeling - yep , the same one others felt when you showed up in Atlanta in 1995 or when I went to Pomona in 1996 . All we can do is what they did - hope it gets straightened out soon .Staying home only hurts the problem as we must get them to show what they have and to accomplish that there will be some hard losses for some of us .

That run you just had along the Drag Pak car woke you up for sure - just don't let it sour you on the whole program .And remember--- you weren't sent to the Hall of Fame by being a quitter .

The lack of proper factoring is going to kill stock and eventually super stock. We should demand that NHRA factor these cars properly. The 5.7 Chrysler has already had about 50 hp added to it and it needs at least another 50. The biggest problem we are going to have is that Ford and Chrysler are going to bring out new motors each year with slightly different specs and give them bogus ratings. I am just about through. I talked to Andrew this weekend about taking my car and turning it in to a vintage road racing car and trying that instead of drag racing. It's just a damn shame that the four crooks running NHRA can destroy what we all love.

So do they get horsepower for the 9.95 in C/SA at this race?

No they wont. Woodro I am with you, waited a long time to come back. Now I will wait some more. I hope they have fun running each other. Jack its not quitting, why fill nhra's pockets with out a chance to even be close, a good light will not help.

Exclamation Re: B/SA DP Car

Robert, Stock got all three runs on Saturday. It was SS who's third run was canceled due to the track being too cold. They also gave Stock and SS a run Sunday morning which could have been used as a record backup.

This was the Bad-U-Say car. Jim
