I had a busy weekend. Saturday I sprayed 3 coats of SPI Red and Sunday 3 coats of SPI Universal clear.

Rusty the build pics are neat to see the work you are putting in on the build of this awesome car. Thanks for letting us see them.

I really love the old Fairlanes and this one is no exception. I really like the color, should really "pop" with some polished wheels. Looks like the car is coming along great and can't wait to see the finished product.

Man I love '66 '67 Fairlanes! This car is screaming for a 427 dual four motor though.

I know I wish but it's not in the budget.

Back in 1967 I wanted to order a 427 Fairlane and was told it would take a year to get one why don't you order a Galaxie so I ordered a 427 Custom with the plan of racing it. When it came in (it was red) it had a 9 3/8 ring gear and nothing was available. I blew the engine up at 872 miles. The warranty was 90 days or 1200 miles. They fixed it under warranty and we sold it. I wish I had it today. What a rare car.

Stock appearing steel rims from Wheel Vintiques painted same color as the car. 5" wide up front with 6.70 /15 Coker Firestone black walls. 10" wide on back with 9.00x30 Hoosier radials with white lettering removed. New cad plated lug nuts and reproduction factory window sticker. It will look like it just rolled off the new car carrier straight from the factory.

Never knew that Ford used the 9 3/8 rear on the '67 427ci full sized cars. Believe the steepest gear I've seen in those is 3.25.

Rusty, the car looks awesome!

I've not heard of the SPI paints before, and I'm in the middle of body working my Wagon.
Whats your thoughts on their product?
Is it something a amature can use in a garage?

That Red is beautiful, is that a white base coat or sealer?
