I'm not trying to be a wise ***, this is a sincere question. Was there some confusion with the participants regarding the way the CIC was going to be applied? There were a number of glaring mistakes made in the first round that certainly affected the ensuing rounds. Not just one missed redlight, but several "way further under runs than required", enough so that I really think there must have been some misunderstanding of how it was going to work.
And I'm not piling on anyone, I'm just curious. NO ONE has ever made a bigger bone head mistake than I did 1st round of SS last week. |

Dan, our rig is parked around the 1000 ft mark and I could not believe what I was seeing. I guess some don't understand comp but bracket racing 101 should be applied except always take the stripe.

You are right Dan. there was a lot of confusion with the cic rules. Round1 my opponent red lighted and I ran it out the back door. I took a 16 Hun hit. I asked Pat about it and he said the same rules as comp eliminator apply. I told him that we run Stock not comp . No Problem had some Problems! They sholud have posted the rules. It is just that simple.

I am sure some of the CIC patcipants were using it as a time run and not paying attention to the cic penalties incurred by running more than -.700 under. The non class winners also got a time run on saturday.

That seems like as a spectator that would be really fun to watch. S/SS running off a CIC like comp. Love comp would enjoy that one. Was Teuton running the V-10?

The rules were the same last year, but because of weather the cic race was cancelled. Art posted the question on rules last year and it was stated that 7 under was the trigger, it was 1.0 before the index got hit .3
