Re: Wild Horse Pass in AZ closing…
I LOVE this site. You guys are great!
I couldn't knock the rust off my old UBB skills to do multiple quotes in this post, so I'll just respond to y'all like this...because HEY!, we've got time, right? Don, TN is an awesome state, our Gov. will likely receive an honorable mention for a realtor award in TN Paul, I really like Las Vegas for those reasons, but my wife is like a candle..she melts in the heat, I guess I could hook up a solar-powered AC unit for an arctic setting still concerned about the Division schedule past '23 though. Billy, all good here, I'm RED til I'm dead..pragmatically of course. J.Heath, I'm totally intrigued by the ACTING position. Got me wonderin what's the requirements. and Mark, when is it best to call you? I have a feeling we may have actually talked before about an Olds Omega. I'm too crazy and love S/SS too much to fold or give up and I reeeeeeally don't want to delete my Signature.

Re: Wild Horse Pass in AZ closing…
If it's utilized and advertised properly I don't see how it shouldn't be, especially in Arizona where you don't have to worry about 10 rainouts per year like other areas of the country. It seems as if the owners of certain tracks care more about its value to prospective buyers than its success as a venue. If more die-hard racers owned tracks it might be different?

Re: Wild Horse Pass in AZ closing…
Even when you have a great promoter/owner like Ozzy there are challenges,
http://www.competitionplus.com/drag-...rth-the-reward Best do all you can to support your track, unfortunately the closest tracks for me are 150-200 miles away so I’m looking for a cheap bracket car to race and maybe get my 13 year old grandson into the new Jr Street program (13 YO racing with adult in the car).

Re: Wild Horse Pass in AZ closing…
Really another track being closed down .... enjoy those over inflated salaries while you can . No tracks , no racing no money for the nhra brass period .....Can they make that kind of money just with the 2 tracks they own being Indy & Gainsville ???

Re: Wild Horse Pass in AZ closing…
Wouldn`t it be great if a drag racing organization was run by "more die hard drag racers," (or at least EX drag racers), or at least people with SOME background or interest, in drag racing? For a non profit organization, the suits in Glendora seem to be doing OK. $200,000 severance pay per year for Compton? Must be nice.

Re: Wild Horse Pass in AZ closing…
I wonder if Graham Light is the only one amongst them who has even driven a race car or worked at a dragstrip?
I guess reactivating Speedworld isn't an option? I saw a video from within the past year or so that shows it all overgrown. |

That was a nice track too. I think they closed it up for back taxes. I wonder how much taxes they are collecting now? Paul |
