Re: Leah Pritchett....fined by NHRA
From CompetitionPlus:
"Pritchett was observed driving her vehicle into Gainesville Raceway at a high rate of speed." Sounds like she was speeding on the gate entry road to the Raceway. May have been tagged by Troopers with NHRA picking up on that and imposing the fine. Speculation, but entry to Pacific Raceways for the NW Nationals is very restricted and JFR/DSR suvs cutting around spectator traffic is annoying at the least. Add speeding and it's dangerous.

Re: Leah Pritchett....fined by NHRA

Re: Leah Pritchett....fined by NHRA
Don't know for sure, but someone said she was in her golf cart getting from Top Fuel to the FSS pits. But, don't lash me to that.
$10K does seem a little steep. Especially when NHRA doesn't mind selling beer in the pits and I've seen more than a few guys riding around pounding one down. Just sayin'.... |

Re: Leah Pritchett....fined by NHRA
Mr. Pica(sp) Super Comp from Ohio was fined $10 large and benched for a year for an incident with a golf cart at the Gators. Sounds like equal punishment to me for both parties concerned, correct???? FED 387

Re: Leah Pritchett....fined by NHRA
Did she run into somebody? Golf carts I have seen won't go fast enough to hurt anything.

Re: Leah Pritchett....fined by NHRA
If you go to nhraracer.com it explains it to an extent.
She was witnessed entering the track in a car at a high rate of speed. No golf cart involved here. The sportsman racer was caught a second time in a golf cart violation. It is also there on nhraracer. Don't mess with NHRA. Rick in TX |

I have to think a lot of folks would be done if they had to pony up 10K just for the privilege of being allowed to come back. That's a lot of money for many people.
