I purchased my flexplate (29.1) before they were mandatory and my car was stuck in paint. I finally got it put together and went to make some shake down runs at Bakersfield. Before going I was looking at the rule book and found the certification is only good for 3yr and the trans blanket only 2yr.! What the heck, I was out of certification without making a single run. How do these items wear out or become damaged, they should be a minimum of 5yrs. I think it’s the seat belt rule all over again.
