Can you post a pic of them.

What I can do is take a pic of them and send it to you if you send me your email. They are in 50 pieces in the trunk of the Demon in the shop. My email is jimwahl@embarqmail.com

Jim that's okay, I thought that they were still installed on the car, and if the headers are off of it, I presume the motor is out of the car then too, because it sounded like you were still driving this thing around...so what do you have to do to it to get it back on the road.

Moose, The car is here on jack stands in the shop. It's a 15,003 mile '71 Demon 340. The engine is in Tennessee, slowly getting machine work. It has a lot of work to get it back on the track as its still got SS springs, pinion snubber and drum brakes etc. The headers are in the trunk where they have been for many years. I just don't understand why they don't rust? Jim

OMG DOES THIS BRING BACK MEMORIES !!! Previously (1964) Jere had a 56 Chevy in E/S, also out of Cordia Chevrolet, when I was driving the original "Bad Banana" '57 283 fuel injected 9 pass wagon in F/S, owned by Ted hartman. We went to East Haddem CT to set the Nat. record; and Jere converted his 56 to F/S to also get the record. We did get the record, and also beat Jere in Eliminations. Ralph Truppi and Tom Kling of Truppi and Kling fame were, also there in their 58 348" F/S and after seeing the Bad Banana, they sold that car and built the '57 wagon "Terrible Tangerine" car.
I'm glad to hear that Jere is still around and kicking. I would love to know how to reach him. Please let me know on my e-address colbertdave13@gmail.com
