If you want heads ups, SS/JA is the class for you. All three mfgrs built several cars that fit there.
What I meant by "kiss your money goodby" was running Super Stock. No reflection on any one combo or class. SS is expensive. Comp is even worse.

In SSJA the weight would be 265 X 11 lbs /Hp + 170 driver weight = 3085 lbs
SS/KA 265 X 12 lbs/Hp + 170 = 3350 lbs.
The car would have to be pretty light with a light driver to make SS/JA. Most likely will fit K the best.

Instead of selling my car, since I need to quit, what do you think I should do with it?
Sale your car and buy Apple Stock from ScottTrade and retire happy like I did five years ago.Only cost $7.00 plus the current price of stock.
You can thank me later!LOL

I'll have to look into that, David. Got out of the stock market after losing so much in that mess in 2008. Been trying to avoid that again.

I do understand and I also learned the hard way by buying stocks from big investment firms and paying high fees when I buy and sale. I do my own research now and when I buy or sale it cost me $7.00 per transaction.

To avoid a potential bonfire of the cash flow, get nitro joes stats so you can see what #s are being run in the various classes you are considering. Get on classracerinfo.com too. Best figure out how fast you want to/need to run to be competitve and then add or subtract weight to fit. Be honest with yourself on whether you would like to try and be the fastest in the class($,$,$), or win races, or just want to compete and have fun. You can always start out in a less populated class and learn and perfect the car over time and throw the $ as it proves worthy.

Now if you are inclined to build the first 9 second ss/ja 74 360 Duster, install a smokestack for the cash!

Eric

I bought Apple in '96 at $16.50/share and forgot about it for 15 years. Paid for my race car, truck, trailer, TV, stereo, tools.....

Sure beats the Casino.
