[QUOTE=Dragsinger;639815]James, to me, this embodies the true spirit of hot rodding. I enjoyed the post, good job.

Thanks Larry
The class racer build I think is the best section. Loved your Super 10 build. Lots of great stuff you posted by doing everthing.

"I am building a backup transmission for my car 1988 Mustang stock eliminator K/SA. I am a newbie to youtube but giving it a try. First off, I am no expert at anything. I have thick skin, so don't be afraid of offending me. Comments welcome. I have learned everything by doing. I have to build my stocker from the ground up everything, except when I don't have the tooling to do it like engine machine work like block and cylinder head work. I do everything cause I enjoy it. I knew nothing about fuel injection when I started on this car. I have learned a lot and still learning. I tune my own car.
I have known James for some time and he enjoys learning and trying things on his own to learn. He also does research and not afraid to ask questions.

This video is some thing I have not done before which is lightening the sun shell. Usually I buy this part but they were out of stock of them so off to the mill to do it myself. This took me a little time to figure out. I did one sun shell just to see if I could do it, was surpise that it came out very well. So I did a second one for the video. The second one took a lot less time.

Raced for the first time this year at Pacific Raceway Division 6. There was more rain then there was racing, so this turned out to be a one day race on saturday. One qualifing hit and off to 1st round. I lost in the second round. My fastest pass of the day was qualifing in the video I show my time slip, my # is 6052 in the right lane. Saturday was very hectick to say the least had some issues with the battery almost missed the qualifing run. I should of had a video of the run, dont know what I was thinking.
