I'm a little surprised that the first, and arguably most valuable of all, the '64 A-864 aluminum Race Hemi Savoy hasn't been listed. It also had aluminum doors which the Max wedges did not. It might have been one of the lowest production cars as it was a mid year introduction.

You're right. I forgot to make that comparison. Those Plymouth's are awesome. I had a '69 Roadrunner,383 4 speed and really liked it, that was 33 years ago. Any other brand car guys want to list your 7 best? This is a great thread!!

1970 / 1971 conv is the one to have
426 ci Hemi equipped 'Cuda models was 652 hardtops (368 with torqueflight and 284 with four-speed) and 14 convertibles (9 with an automatic and 5 with a four-speed).

1971 production of the 440 ci 'Cuda "six pack" was 237 hardtops and 17 convertibles. 426 ci Hemi 'Cuda was only 108 hardtops (48 with TorqueFlight and 60 with four-speed) and 9 convertibles, 7 sold domestically (5 with automatic and 2 with four-speed), and 2 sold and shipped to Europe. 8 of the 9 1971 426 ci Hemi 'Cuda convertibles have been accounted for and restored, the last one is said to have been scrapped in the late 70's in either the Phoenix area, or New Jersey area

Now we've gotten to the most confounding part of this whole thread. How do we narrow it down to just 7 of any brand?Didn't mean to hijack the thread, the last comment of "any max wedge of Hemi ' is cause sufficient.

They have a one of a kind sound going down the track but the best is the stuttering sound they make when you put them in gear. That said, if I could turn back time to 1985 when Jerry Stein offered me an all aluminum 64 Savoy, aluminum doors and all with a complete disassembled race Hemi for 8,500, I would be a happy man. I walked away from the deal thinking it was OK but I had another project in mind, Paul.

My favorite car was my 65 Plymouth Satelite, 383 4 speed. Thats all I could afford at the time. Traded it in for a 69 Plymouth, 4 speed GTX. If I could go back in time, my choice would be a 64 Savoy. After 69, I really didn't like any of the body style's that Plymouth hade to offered.

My favorite Plymouth would have been a '64 Valiant S/S car that came with a Stage III Wedge/727/8.75" powertrain, with an aluminum front cap, and mini tubs.

But Ma was all about B Bodies, and the new Hemi, and never built it....

I think this combo might have kicked the Hemi's ***... Maybe they thought so too... and, that's why we never saw one.
