Re: Would like to See Pictures of 87-93 5.0 Mustang Stockers
Lee I have seen your car a few times in person .Car looks grate with the new paint job. The right up in National Dragster about your car is 1 of the reasons I am doing a 5.0 stocker. I have always wanted to run stock .But I am not loaded with money a 5.0 Mustang seems like a good way to get in to stock with out spending $50.000 to build a good car. Will you be at the Points meet in E town in September? If so I will stop by and say hello

What's HAPPENING, Lee Valentine?! Still smiling, I'm sure. It has been a long, time, man. I'm still here in Southern California. I chugged that van you fixed on out here and haven't looked back since '97, dude. Are you still there in Millwood? I'll have to stop by the next time I'm back in the home area. By the way, the van was replaced with a Power Stroke F-350, and that first 'Stang I had is long gone now. I've had several others over the years. I had read in Dragster or somewhere that you were actually racing a 'Stang. Of course, knowing you as the Chevy diehard, I had to chuckle, but I'm glad you finally saw the light and came out from the Dark Side! Hahahahahaha! Anyway, to answer the original poster's question, Ward Alston races an '88 GT in G/FI. It's a car he has owned since the day it rolled off the dealer's lot! I'm sure you'll find several pics of the car on the AutoImagery site. Lee Valentine, take care, man. I just figured I'd give you a blast from your past. Be well. |

K.J., How you doing , I don't know if I went senile or banged my head yes I built a stang and I have to admit it's one of the best cars I've ever had . Has gone 1.12 under the index and needs special feeding. I retired and moved to Ct. Hope all is well. Lee

Re: Would like to See Pictures of 87-93 5.0 Mustang Stockers
That's awesome, Lee. Congrats on retirement. Enjoy it. You obviously must be enjoying it. because you're racing in Stock and you've got a quick 'Stang! I'm really happy about that part. I would have never thought you'd get with the Ford program. 1.12 under, huh? Man, that thing gets it! Ward's (Harold's son) G/FI Mustang really has come a long, long way since he started racing in Stock. I get to some of the events with him. He runs in Div 7...Ward moved 15 minutes away from me, a year after I moved out here. His dad makes the trip out every year for the Winternationals. Hopefully we'll all get out to Indy one of these years with Ward's car.
Thanks for the reply, Lee. My best to Brian as well. You guys take care and maybe we'll see each other at a track somewhere, at some point as the years go on. Here's a look at the little Mustang coupe I just finished up...it's NOT stock! Hahahahaha! KJ |
