Re: Wanted suggestions how to create low drag Wilwood brake
Other than the front wheels turning during wheelstands have you folks with the low drag brakes seen any real improvements in ET?
Thanks, Bill |

I wouldn't ***** 💩 you. I'm a POOR BOY. I haven't race my MPR 92 Camaro in 27 years. My car has only 20 to 25 runs on it. It still has the New Race Car Smell. I parked it when I got married in 97 and started my Family. So, with a little Luck and a few dollars. I might get a chance to race next year. And make some improvements. |

Hi Ron, The bearing kit is P/N 10585BR The spacer is P/N 10521s The seal is P/N 10577 Get also their low-drag bearing grease. Call them. They are some of the nicest people to deal with. This is a link to their catalog. https://www.drpperformance.net/_file...e3d1889264.pdf |

Re: Wanted suggestions how to create low drag Wilwood brake
Changing the square ring to a round ring helps. Still not Lamp but it is better. Then install low drag bearings with spacers. Remember when doing all this, it is pepper in in the fly sh.t stuff but all is worth something in the end.

Re: Wanted suggestions how to create low drag Wilwood brake
Pull your brake pads off and check them to see if they are worn on a skew. I checked mine with a vernier caliper and found they were worn on a skew. I ground them flat again with a right angle grinder. That stopped the dragging. If you are too heavy on the brake pedal it will wear the pads unevenly and they will drag like crazy. You have to be real easy on the pedal with light weight brakes.
