Sorta. Not that money doesn't help, but money cannot buy everything. Hard work and innovation plays a major role, also.

The most under- rated combo in S/SS will ultimately be the fastest.

You just have think outside the box and not follow the herd.

True, but a real innovator never stops. So all you did was buy last week's or last year's innovation.

The racer that has the most money to spend will have the fastest car. Always been that way and always will be that way. There are no rules to enforce that will change that. The racer that owns the slower car can either lift at 1000ft and pick a safe ladder spot or chance getting their butt kicked in a round 1 heads up race. Ask me how I know that.
I'm suggesting that it costs quite a bit of money to make an illegal part seem legal. Such as the multi thousand dollar valve job. And what happens when the faster car plays games and gets the "safe" spot too.

Even with everything by-the-book legal, it's hard to beat money. A serious well funded S-S/S'er who buys and tests 5 times as many cams, converters, gear sets, headers, wheel/tire combos, etc., etc., is hard to overcome. not to mention, lots of dyno time and testing, always fresh slicks....
