Chad, since they are friends, the Lambs may very well have know Lambeck's car was wounded. Staging & hoping for a red light in the other lane would not have worked.

Since none of the three players with questionable starting line antics were anywhere near the top in points, laying down to help a fellow west coast racer win the championship would be the thing to do.

Get your facts straight; only two of the racers are from Division 7.
Ted Romero is Division 5.

NO Questionable starting line tactics on Gilleys part !!! Just drivers error on a Heads up Race !!! For you bench racers, that means give it all you got best man wins, in this case it was Justin Lamb, why has nothing been said about the Div race back east last year, when a Stock racer won ALL 6 rounds by way of red lights, was that luck or did all 6 drivers lay down for him !! Did NHRA keep the money ? Or was his Win any less of a Win than winning it at the finish line ? Maybe we should start having a liberal class where everyone is a winner, You guys need to get job, no get a life !!! BTW no takers at Pomona on calling Gilley a liar and a cheater to his face !! Imagine that !

The last part of this statement is what caught my attention. Is this idea widespread/ common? Maybe I am missing something. I can understand the underlying desire to help those "on our side" but a championship won in this way would,I hope, be unacceptable to most racers. That opinion being stated, I have the limited information most others have been exposed to on this thread, and therefore do not know the complete set of facts behind the debate. Looking forward to the final conclusion.

If you are so sure they did so, why you don't tell this to Mr. Gilley and Mr. Romero in their face next time you see them at the track? I believe you would be making a visit to your favorite Orthodontist!
