By the time I heard about teardown and went down there, there were only 2 cars left. Pendarvis and Cour. Everyone passed. I heard that Beach and Fisher had been there also. Checking carbs, and had to take off valve covers for a look. Also heard driveshafts were checked. More if I hear any more details.

NHRA is obviously scrambling to get as much done as possible with the weather approaching. I am sure that is why they have an abrieviated teardown. Smart move in my mind. Get some rounds in, many travel a long way to this event and 1 less TT and less teardown would be ok with me with this weather situation. Good Luck to all

It does make sense to try to get as much racing in as possible before the rain comes, but I just hope it doesn't set a precedent for the future. Indy is already about the only place teardowns happen except for records anymore.

With all the hoopla of new car stuff let us not forget all about old iron ........R/S ? ? Are you kidding me .............This is Tim Weinzapfels' 66 Bel Air wagon who qualified # 48 @ 13 flat . Be proud Tim .........and I'm sure the photogs loved it .That sure is a lot of transfer for a little 283 CID ..........
