Re: I'm confused about IHRA's Sportsman friendliness
And oh yea, we have a HUGE engine and three stages of smack if we need it. Wanna go for a ride? Course we would probably have to install a bench seat so you would be comfortable.

Re: I'm confused about IHRA's Sportsman friendliness
Hey Chip, I remember when you won the championship. 'Course since you are a bracket racer your opinion like mine doesn't mean much on here. Since we run a 6-7 second bracket car.( bracket car my butt). I don't get to race much 'cause of duties with my company and everything but I like it 'cause it's fun. And I love to go fast as hell. But you know that even in S/SS classes isn't it a bracket race unless you are runnin' heads up? I always thought so. I ain't gettin' on the brakes or lifting at the 1000' mark. Would love to see some of these class racers run against you. (he he he). Man. I love just having a good time and these guys are way to serious sometimes. No wonder they are so uptight. MOPAR on brother. Hope Myron is at Baton Rouge whippin' up on them with his stocker. Peace brother. Isn't it the goal to put the Fords and Chebbies back in the dog house. That's what I race for. Sure as hell isn't for the measley money they give out.

Re: I'm confused about IHRA's Sportsman friendliness
Chip, how is Shady Side looking since they put the new concrete down? Been down there lately? We haven't made the trip in awhile, but the last time we made the trip, that was the funnest damn racin' I ever did in my life. Slowin down before the turn and the woods is kinda trickey. Wish I could figure out how to post a link here for the Shady Side 10.5 and T/S oulaw race from 2010. Think some of these class racers would like to see some seriously fun racin'? We have a track like that about 30 miles from the house. Some of the funnest days I have.

You go to a track and pay the same money as a different class, your class cost the same to be competitive in as the car in that other class, your performance is no more or less impressive than that other car, but you honestly feel morally correct about taking home 3 times as much because your a big dawg? And I'm the one who is stuck up because I bring up the issue about the HUGE difference in payout? Please, Check that mirror. I am anything but Stuck Up. Call me a Dic all you want, but stuck up isn't what it is. Most of the time I'm focused on doing what needs to be done to turn win lights on in two cars, but sometimes you can find me "slumin" it up with them Baudion Boys, or playin a early morning poker game (wish that would come back), so I get around, but I haven't yet run accross a Mr. Inamopar (that I know of) I'm not going to turn down your offer either. I'd much rather pilot one of those modifieds listed earlier, but a T/S car looks like a really fun ride. Last edited by Hagen Gary; 02-17-2011 at 03:10 AM. |
