Default If You Could Race At 1 Historic Closed Track?

If you could race at one historic track from back in the day, what strip would it be?? So many storied facilities, so much history in many a closed venue.

My first choice would easily be the greatest drag strip of all time, the incredible Lions Drag Strip. Saw over 150 races at that fantastic racetrack.

Second choice would be Orange County International Raceway.

What's yours?

Sorry, Lions wouldn't even make my list. I thought I was going to hit that light pole back in '62. Scared the crap oughta me.
OMS would be my choice.

A lot of people outside of the south may not consider it historic but Dauphin Island Dragway (mobile, AL). Mostly because everytime i am around my dad and his buddies that's the place they talk about. It closed the year I was born. Its still there in spirit, with houses built on both sides, its even named Dragstrip Rd.

Lions Dragstrip would be first choice, it was before my time.

I did make some pass's at Orange County Raceway in a street car
back in the late 70's.

Bought my 1973 340 Duster stock eliminator car the week after the
last race at OCIR so it got raced at Famoso, Pomona (once) and
the old Vegas track.

Was the old Vegas track in the same spot as The Strip is now? I was there in about 1972, but I don't remember a lot about it other than it ran in the same direction (I think).
