Re: 8.50 index build
Maybe ice blue metallic is what you want, hard to tell in pictures. I prefer blues that don’t have too much green or purple hues in them. My mustang is in the paint shop right now and it will be a while straightening out 53yr old sheet metal. I’m leaning toward GM hyper blue with white stripes for mine. (‘67 GT500 B/SA)

Re: 8.50 index build
Body shop made good progress this week finishing the body work on the main body shell and getting it in primer.
Last items for body work are smoothing the warped cowl panel, shock towers and the hatch. Working on color selection so they can start cutting in the jambs next week. |

Re: 8.50 index build
Body work is nearing completion. They hope to spray color this week, or maybe next at the latest.
About time to start installing all of this stuff. Probably the biggest project on the assembly of the car, the custom EFI harness and wiring. |

Re: 8.50 index build
I forgot to post this last week. The new intake was fit to the cylinder head dowel shift and fully ported. Once that came back it went right out again and after 5 weeks just came back from Switzer Dynamics from having the EFI conversion done.

Re: 8.50 index build
Once the intake was home I did a quick mockup of the restrictor plate and 2.55 blade Wilson throttle body. Have some issues to work through to make the restrictor plate work. Unsure if I'll keep the plate and run 8.50 or swap the plate for an open spacer and run Top Sportsman at Cecil.

Re: 8.50 index build
Yesterday (2/24/22) was another milestone day for the Mustang build. Color was sprayed.
All hands on deck to wash the car inside to get rid of all traces of dust. Spray time... |

Re: 8.50 index build
Well some video got out so I may as well share the Mustang in it's beautiful new skin. Click the link below.
Pics to follow once the paint is cut-n-buffed and all the black trim and accents are painted and the body is assembled. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CafIBeN...dium=copy_link Last edited by Todd Geisler; 02-27-2022 at 11:01 PM. |
