July 1967
Dick Landy with the 1967 Coronet R/T '426 Hemi'. This Coronet R/T had the WO23 Hood installed on the car in late-April 1967. In 1967, Dick ran this car in SS/B. January 1967
Dick Landy now running his 'long nose' Dart Funny Car with a Ramchargers 426 'Blown' Engine set-up. Dick ran an 8.91 @ 180 MPH with the wheels in the air. Later, Dick ran an 8.22. After finding out that 'Dyno Don' Nicholson had run a 7.96 @ 196.60 MPH Dick said, "That's it". He said that these cars were just getting too fast for their frames.
