Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
My poor attention to detail almost cost me a failure. But we got lucky and found the problem. It made decent power and the engine ran through the rpm range smoothly. Lots of NHRA Class stuff being worked on in the JTP shop.
There is a list of people that were kind enough to help me reach our goals, but that will have to come later. Now we have to get ready to race. BG and Indy. Got to get to work. |

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Engine is in car and being hooked up. It takes me more time to do stuff when I?m dead tired. This is cutting it to close, it?s almost not to much fun.

I?m working on my second cup of ambition as I type this. It should be a good day.

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
It was a good day. Only problem was finding the little things that I promised myself I?d fix next time the car was down. A lot of them are fixed and it probably won?t go any faster but ease of assembly will be better next time.
Going to the dyno generates a few problems with sensors being different for the dyno. Then I have to pick up the changes and put it back together to race. I think next time I?ll make some some wiring harness?s with duel plugs to accommodate the dyno stuff. At the dyno I let the professionals do there thing while do mundane stuff like adjust valves and bring donuts, not just any donuts but donuts from Nord?s. |

Re: Dumbo The Flying Elephant
After a test drive I decided to enter D3 BG points race and I'm so computer challenged I could not do it.
Got it done our Division Director sent me a link. Had another good racing. Last edited by Larry Hill; 08-22-2024 at 08:40 PM. |
