Cool Pontiac 350 Pistons

I have not dabled in pontiac at all.But since I now have a 76 GP in the garage . Who makes Pistons for these motors. This car was given to me by my dad. It has blow by . I think it has a broke ring have not done leak down yet. But if i have to pull motor I want to get some higher compression pistons for it.the 7.8 to1 is just not cutting it.When he rebuilt the motor he put Eldebrock Preformer crab intake and cam. But it still is a pig.

Default Re: Pontiac 350 Pistons

You don't need to change pistons, you need a cylinder head with a smaller combustion chamber.Get a pair of casting # 48s (used on 1969 350HOs 72cc) from ebay and you will have 10:1 compression.Pontiacs use flat top pistons.

Good Luck
