Re: Ford in Comp Eliminator?????
I'm currently working on converting my 89 Mustang into a SS/AS for 2009. OEM refers also to Ford Racing parts just like GM Performance Parts for GM. As long as "Ford" has a number on it they are legal and it has to be cast iron. I'm getting a used block from Roush Yates Performance Parts. Hope this helps.

Re: Ford in Comp Eliminator?????
Yes, and was told the Xmember also had to be changed back to stock. Although now I hear they are changing that rule for the Super Modified cars and allowint the Tubular front end. I just dont have enough $$$ to even think about running a Super Modified, especially with a car that has only been mini tubbed and using 28x10.5's

Re: Ford in Comp Eliminator?????
Cool to see Mark's on here.
Howie has his new car so look for a test soon Pic here... http://inlinethumb14.webshots.com/43...600x600Q85.jpg There are lots of good wedge heads now but i'm not sure what ones can be legally run. There are some new ones that rival the 14 degree Pro Action SBC heads. I'd think Billy Glidden's Mustang minus the nitrous could be a good Comp car. There are 8.2 deck blocks that will take a 4.20" bore. |

Re: Ford in Comp Eliminator?????
Howies new Ness car is INCREDIBLE!!! The workmanship is first rate all the way.
He has some killer heads and blocks,I think he will have a very competive piece once it's all together. He said there is a slim chance it might make the finals with a certain pro stock driver behind the wheel in C/A trim.I sure hope it makes it.
