Default Pontiac Iron Duke

I am wondering if the Pontiac Iron Duke 4 cylinder engine would be competitive in NHRA stock or SS class racing or is factored too high?

You might want to narrow that list down just a bit. There are a bunch of GM combos that use very different variations of the "Iron Duke" based on year and body style. Some are OK and some not so much.

Our fleet of Hyster and Yale forklifts at the plants had 181 cu in GM iron Dukes. Years before that they were 151 cu in GM dukes.

The 181 was/is an industrial and marine variation. Check out the cylinder head if you get the chance, it's very good!
