Our lower intake pans which have always passed previous eye and hand measurement inspections, failed the 3D scanner test for having too smooth of radius compared to there as cast intake. Our inspection was done after Q1 so we were unable to make any changes and told DQ for event. Of the 6 FX cars that were there I guess we won the lottery draw as we were the only two who torn down after the run. Hopefully the 3D scanner is going to be used more often as it will clearly make the lines go from gray to black and white. I had no argument other than see you at the next race.

Hopefully precedent will prevail here, and a rule change will make your intake pan legal before the next event.

Probably not, it isn't a Stanfield piece (I think)
If it was, then NHRA would have allowed either a change, or just run it that way
