Default David Dinneen Most Righteous AA/S stick award bonus 100

I am going to provide a David Dinneen Most Righteous pass AA/S stick award bonus of 100$ and a cool home made trophy at the 2024 Nationals.
If anyone wants to pile on a 10-20-100 bonus just bring it.

Rules are
Its for AA/S stock shootout cars in competition, from Q1 to R3 class final.
It could be the winner, runner up, or broke in qualifying, or R1 non winner.
Any pass counts, so attention is required for all AA cars through the event, until the class final is complete.
It will be to the most jaw dropping run, and that is what we always watched for.
Dave and I were Eddyville Iowa Dragway, weekly spectators in the 1970s. Dave was sometimes called the Grump as he really did look like Jenkins!
If an expert crew is on the grounds, and wants to help judge, I welcome volunteers!
Bret Kepner?
Westcott?
Lines?
Robbs need for speed?
Fazio?
I really don't require much help, and see bad to the bone easy, but help is nice.
I am sure Jim S. will welcome extra help with awards.

This is something I have held up on saying about my late friend, Dave my crew guy from 20-30 years of racing. Dave passed last fall from brain cancer, and I have wondered how many of you remember him? He was always up for driving all night, to all of the SS/L National events I tried to hit. He made pals with every dude anywhere, and was always a joy to see show up with a cooler of cold drinks. What can I say, dude needs honored! Even the west coasters and southern boys will remember him.

So I am coming to Indy again as a spectator, and want to do a bit part. Hemi guys have a secured big payout, and David liked all class racing. I could tell stories about Dave for hours. He was a picture taking genius, below is a link to Dave's photography. He once stood next to a group of 17 year old HS classmates, and found it terribly funny someone thought my car wouldn't start, because the fran (spelled as said) belt was too tight!

His memory was excellent and he was a great story teller.

Pics of Dave here from our last Indy in 2003 and Dave's great work.

Another 100 came in towards this purse, its now 200 thanks to David's brother Pat, who is pictured next to Dave's white 1966 Biscayne wagon. Southern Iowa's finest people!

WOW diesel is 3.40 a gallon at quickstar in Davenport. Only one location though, the rest of town is .40 cents higher.

Its worth taking the I-280 interstate and fill the rig for Indy.

Now who is causing fuel prices to go up and down?
Remember the "I did this" sticker dimwits were applying to gas pumps 2-3 years ago?

Win this prize based on judging... trophy winner may not be the official NHRA trophy winner, and bonus money goes to the guy that figures out, analyzes, then adjusts the car for the available rubber, and still gets a sub 1.44 60 foot !!!
When you spot a 9-10 second car's LF tire... spot the sticky!
It will all be hot glue at 11AM INDY time !!

David's friends from Kansas just pledged 100$ so now we are approaching a good purse, worth watching! Tracy and Bill Cassil just directed me to apply 100 more towards the most memorable and best run.

This is also the family of Tyler Cassil, and Tim Nicholson, who wheels the Cassil family super K car. They were our teachers and confidants of Pee Wee Herman technology! (283 stuff)

So 300 it is

Don, just talked to Bobby Fazio and he is at the track, he's going to be filming the shootout and would be glad to help - hope y'all can find each other somehow. Any tips on how he can find you?

Usually I watch TT and class for SS and STK, at the 60 foot clocks and go up most of the way. Morning sun at my back, on the tower side, and 1PM on at the west side 60 foot clocks, sun at my back, or under the top row shade.
That is my favorite spot to film as well, because you can read the tires on both cars.

Its sticky and humid... but today was very pleasant for Q1, then super sluggish if you missed that session.

Well after watching everyone's great performance, I picked the 1965 396 powered, AA/Stick Corvette, of John - Stephanie - Sophia - Cameron - and Owen Diekema.

The prize was mostly a performance trophy, and John was .00 on the tree in class, and had the best ET at the agreed on weight.

Brett Mcfarland was right there with the towering wheelstands, but the numbers out the Corvette were outstanding. We were at the after hours Jim Schaechter party, but did the award in private. John had a very impressive payday, thanks to the Gaffney's. and Gaff Tech

Thanks to Tracy Cassill and Pat Dinneen for kicking in prize money.
Check out the video by Bobby Fazio, at about 45.00 minutes in, to see R1 of class.
Its the videos featured car, and that is an excellent piece of film by Fazio!
