Default Advice and opinions on Kirkey aluminum seats

With not having a lot of room to operate the brake pedal I have decided to try a Kirkey seat. My bench seat comes up against the roll bar and doesn't give much room for my left leg to work the brake. So thinking of a Kirkey seat. Looking for any help from guys who have installed them. Forgot to mention mine is a 63 Plymouth B body. One person already figured that out before I edited the post. Thanks

The Jaz aluminum seat might be a better option

I'm guessing by your login this is an early B body car.
I've done many B body cars over the years with both Jaz and Kirkey seats .
While I prefer the Kirkey 55 series seats because I feel they are stronger ,I always have to bend the left side support out a bit to give more lateral leg movement and ease of entry /exit when using the narrower 17" seats that are common for F body GM cars ...The JAZ seat has the sides cut down lower and allows for easier entry and exit and more leg lateral movement.
On large cars such as a B body you can easily use the 20" wide Kirkey seats which will allow ample leg room without bending them out.

They are my preference over the high back Kirkeys. Have used them in a number of cars. More compact, lighter, look better, etc.. One problem...

They don't make them anymore and are unobtanium. I've tried to buy unused Jaz aluminum seats all over. Some are priced like gold. I've found one for a reasonable price. I'd thought about copying them myself. If someone is copying them. I'd like to know.

The Kirkey 16 series is close, but the Jaz is preferable to me.
