Default Zmax National Event

They just announced that the NHRA NE at Charlotte will begin a day earlier then originally scheduled. The event was supposed to start on Friday but will now begin at Noon on Thursday to prevent from late night racing, plan accordingly.

Personally I hate it. I can't justify taking another day off work and will either have to withdraw or go into elims Friday morning with not qualifying run, if they'll even let me do that.

I also don't understand changing it to avoid racing at night. It's in Concord NC in September, I don't see it being cold or the track going away. And even if it did, frankly that only serves to benefit me with an underpowered S/G car and high index stocker. I wish we raced at midnight lol.

I'm pretty sure you must go down the track to get on the sheet but I'm not positive about that. What they've done here makes absolutely no sense to me but who am I. Still haven't decided if I'm going to go or not I'm just flabbergasted as to why this is necessary or reasonable for an event with only 55 entries in each class. In the end I'll probably still go but who knows.

Even ed and keith mayers know it takes 4 days to squeeze in 230 or so sportsman cars.

Extended pro sessions can lead to all of us sportsman?s dismay. Rather race a day early and potentially leave when you want to or maybe have to wait until late Sunday or even Monday? Pick the poison I reckon?
