Thinking about attending the Dallas National Event. Never been to this track. Can anyone tell me the good and the bads of this facility, i.e. pit conditions, paved pits, gravel pits, paved or gravel road ways leading to staging lanes, etc. Thanks for any info.

I absolutely hated it. Had to keep my helmet in the bag between runs in some attempt to keep it clean. Inside trailer and all equipment was covered in dirt.
I was parked in the dust bowl, but was right at the front edge of it and next to the paved roads. I'm generally not a track or pit snob. I'd go again if I made the All Stars. This was my last stop of a three week trip so was probably worn out by the whole thing too.

Compared to a track like BG, it is the pits. Be prepared to clean ALL of your equipment when you get back home. As for as the track goes, be extra careful. There is a reason the locals call it the Deathplex.

Google Earth has a 7/1/ 2024 image of the Ennis track that is pretty accurate.
