Re: Wheelie bar rule
Hi GMS1,
No change in the rule. I went back to an 2014 rulebook for a check spot and text is the same as 2024 rulebook. WHEELIE BARS Permitted. Wheels must be non-metallic. May not be attached to rear bumper or bumper braces. May be 48 inches in length or to rear bumper, whichever is longer. Length is checked from center-line of rear axle to center of wheelie-bar wheel. See General Regulations 3:6.

Re: Wheelie bar rule
Thanks Charlie,
I thought so but I've seen several with bars well past the bumper. I'm assuming it's just not a point of contention with NHRA right now and I'm getting ready to update mine. |

That being said, there are modified classes in SS that allow longer wheelie bars. 54 inches. MX is 65 inches.

Re: Wheelie bar rule
I have a single wheelie bar for sale that came off my Chevy 2 with a 12 bolt if anyone is needing one.
