A question for mopar a-body cars, what number spring are you using? Mono or split? I’m looking to buy and want input from the racers themselves not cal trac

Re: Cal trac springs
My stick 340 Duster application uses Calvert split monoleaf with front segment LF120-345 and rear segment PLR537-460. Relatively recently switched to that rear segment with higher spring rate and am very happy with it. May not work as well with an auto.
I have enjoyed working with the Calvert team over the years—they have always been very helpful in solving issues. They have customer service second to none. |

Re: Cal trac springs
Calvert offers a 0, +1” and a -1” ride height spring combo. I went with the 0, the car sits level at #3200. Problem I ran into was now the 10” w, 4.5 bs wheels,9x30 Hoosiers no longer fit under the wheel wells. The +1” spring sits more like a #3000 SS spring. I do like the car lower in the rear. Nice thing is, like Tim did, you can simple change the rear half if you want to change the height.

Re: Cal trac springs
I see they have different front segments also, 120 and 121. What’s the purpose on that, stiffer? The post above and the one who pm-ed me use same rear section. Great info keep it coming

Re: Cal trac springs
As I remember, Calvert made a mono for the A bodys to allow
a bit more tire to spring clearance. It was narrower but I do not think I have seen one the last 15 or 20 years. It helped on a early Dart or Valiant but was not needed on a Duster/Demon style car.

Re: Cal trac springs
I spoke with Cal today to clear up some things, got one more request (leave I bolt un drilled) so I’ll call again tomorrow to see if they’ll do that.
