2024 Classic Instruments GLSSA schedule

2024 Classic Instruments Great Lakes Stock / Super Stock Association schedule-

-May 4-5 we will kick off the GLSSA season with a double header weekend at Mid Michigan Motorplex. We will have a race #1 Saturday and race #2 Sunday.

-June 7-9 we will be back at the Mid Michigan Motorplex again on their Money Maker weekend. The weekend will kick off on Friday with a qualifying run then we will go into the 2nd annual Stick Shift Shootout and a special Nostalgia Super Stock shootout. Saturday we will have a final qualifying run for race #3 then go into eliminations. Sunday we will do one qualifying run then into eliminations for race #4. The Ledford Family has always taken great care of us and made running our races there a breeze. We look forward to spending two weekends at the Motorplex next spring!

-August TBD at Milan Dragway. We are working with the NHRA division 3 crew to put together GLSSA race #5 on Saturday afternoon/evening of the Milan Motor City National open weekend. Once NHRA / Milan have the date secured we will be able to finalize more details of the race weekend. The GLSSA combo race will include all our normal GLSSA legal classes (IHRA class cars, NSS cars), not just NHRA Stock / Super Stock cars.

-September 21-22 the 2024 GLSSA season will wrap up at The Ubly Dragway for a double header weekend. The Janowiak Family really missed not having the GLSSA cars, crews, and fans at their track in 2023 and were quick to contact us about coming back in 2024! We again will have the full facility to ourselves for the weekend and will be running 1/8 mile. Race #6 will be Saturday and Race #7 will be Sunday where we will crown our season points Champion!

Now that NHRA has announced their full season schedule with the Milan national open weekend set we can share our TBD race date. We are still working on details, but the August 9-11 weekend of the NHRA stock / super stock National open weekend we will also have a separate GLSSA race Sponsored by JRP 9500rpm.com (Jimmy Ronzello). The latest version of the schedule I heard is the national open will be Friday / Saturday then Sunday will be GLSSA with Milan's normal non points bracket classes.

The NMCA vs GLSSA race at the Martin NMCA event July 18-21 will be back again for 2024. We are working with the NMCA to bring our best Stock, Super Stock and also Nostalgia cars this year to run off with the NMCA guys in a special 32 car shootout.
