Re: Camping world out
I would have been stunned if they renewed the deal. We can appreciate that they stepped up to sponsor the series when it needed one, but they never appeared to be truly 'invested' in the sport. Their logo is plastered around, but the actual company has had zero presence at events.

Re: Camping world out
Need to put Tony Stewart in charge of the whole damn thing. Stuff would get done. Possibly a major house cleaning!

When they became involved I thought they might develop motorhome and perhaps trailer packages for racers. I was also hoping they would get some of their many vendors involved. Obviously none of that happened. However I think NHRA is in a much better position to acquire a another title sponsor than when Camping World signed up. I am grateful for Camping World's participation even if it was short term. At least they are fulfilling their contract, unlike Coke. |

Re: Camping world out
Thanks to Camping world for their support of NHRA Racing.
With the economic climate right now i would bet the camping business is down quite a bit. Interest rates are high and people tend to not get in debt when the rates are high. also fuel prices are up quite a bit since they became the title sponsor. All of that slows the RV business I am sure NHRA wanted more from them as well for a new contract. NHRA seems to be doing pretty good in the past few years since the pandemic ended. Fields are full and racing is good. Tony Stewart coming into NHRA has brought some more exposure to our sport. All of the pro classes seem a bit more healthy than a few years ago. Hopefullly NHRA can find another major sponsor to fill the void.
