Apology to Pat Cvengros….
I would like to issue a public apology to NHRA employee Pat Cvengros. In a previous post on CR I led Larry Hill to believe that Pat C. was responsible for the HP reduction in 2002 for the 350 Chevy Lt-1 Superstock combination. I definitely spoke out of turn, you see….Pat C. was not employed by NHRA until July 2003. I pride myself on JUST THE FACTS, and I dropped the ball on this one. For any further correspondence on this issue I can be reached at 502-69 three - 1735 ……

Re: Apology to Pat Cvengros….
Mike I only was only questioning the 1970 350/360 hp In SuperStock with the 35hp reduction, not stock.
From what I’ve seen no car with the combination of 420hp made any runs in 2002 but still received a 15 hp reduction, in fact the 410hp was reduced to 395at the same time. Something rotten in Denmark. |

Re: Apology to Pat Cvengros….
James it’s in the classification guide when the Hp got changed. My gripe is the AHFS was in affect then and NHRA did not go by there own rules. Latter I got killed in the finals of Indy by a “Gifted” combo. You know James, it’s difficult to cut a good light grabbing your ankles.
