Re: Russ linke
I say we Tar and Feather him!! Isn’t that what we used to do “back in the day”…..asking for a friend.

Re: Russ linke
I’m personally more interested in the car that has recently set records and won class at Indy allegedly coming up a touch too high on cam lift and avoiding a 10hp hit.

While I can agree that the car owner, or maybe even the driver, should know what's in their motor, how many actually do.. many of the top competitors are using supposed professional engine builders these days.. most of these builders love to claim they put together the best engines, and make the most power.. it's unfortunate in this case, as I believe that the owner/driver probably had no clue, and absolutely no bad intent.. HOWEVER, I have to give a hat tip to NHRA Tech for finding an infraction that ranged in thickness not easily detected by the human eye.. and at that point, a rule is a rule.. Had it happen to me some years back in Comp, when the engine builder said the motor was 305 cubic inch, but then pumped at 307 cubic inch.. shame on me??.. or shame on the builder??.. we pay them good money, do we have to stand over them and double check their every move too??.. could be the question of the day.. |
