o/t hot water heater fix?
I changed the thermo-coupling-copper wire
still got nothing...pilot will not stay lit,------, going thru the switches now, i know its off topic, just throwing it out there. Pilot will not stay lit! |

Yes, that is true---now, here, the one time we had a plumber come around-a few months back--turns out---He was fixing to get to the 4-wides in NC, what a cool guy. He was telling me about his El dorado he got carried away with modifying it---we got talking so much--- so i give him a call 2 morrow--I'll let you know how it turns out. thanks for listening. |

ok- was micro switch hidden on top of the hot water heater, behind a couple of wire nut things-- I had overlooked. There is one at the bottom and one at the top.
He said it was a bit too hot up there possibly because the draft was getting slowed down a bit, and that may have triggered it to pop-- I looked down chimney cleaned it out a bit, but no substantive result other than he recommended a CO2 alarm just in case. I had no idea this section was here; otherwise I would have posted it in here originally! This is definitely where it belongs, -now I know. Thanks all! |
