I was in Top Stock several years ago at a National open in St. Louis. Corvette would
Not start so I got a push and started it. After my burnout an official shut me off and said I had to self start

You might get away with it once at a race, but if you tried doing it the whole time I'm sure tech wouldn't allow it.
